Biography:
Yellowjacket is a Marvel Comics character primarily associated with Hank Pym. He first appeared as Yellowjacket in The Avengers #59 (1968).
Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym, a brilliant scientist, developed the ability to alter his size. He initially used the Ant-Man persona, later adopting Giant-Man, and eventually, Yellowjacket.
The Yellowjacket identity emerged during a period of mental instability for Pym. While suffering from a breakdown he reinvented himself as a bombastic, aggressive hero claiming to have defeated and replaced Pym. This version of the character possesses the ability to shrink, grow, and fire bio-electric blasts. This persona often battled alongside the Avengers before eventually merging back with Pym's original personality.
